Hayden Minett studied at Bretton Hall, and has taught guitar at the University of Leeds for many years, as well as privately. He has performed with many bands playing live music from Zappa covers to Jazz standards, and demonstrates at shows like Music Live and the London Guitar Show.
Borrowing from styles as diverse as Larry Carlton and Robben Ford, to Allan Holdsworth and John Schofield to Steve Ray Vaughan and Hendrix, Minett’s music is an eclectic mix. His influences also include: Lenny Breau, Wes Montgomery, 011ie Ha!sail, Allan Holdsworth, and Larry Carlton.
He’s done sound engineering work in small and large and concert venues across the UK, including the Lowry and Southbank Centre.
Playing electric, acoustic and synth guitar, he explores the many sounds of the instruments. He also play bass guitar occasionally for the Kit Holmes trio.
His favourite guitarist is Hank B. Marvin—godfather of British electric guitar players!
