July 17th, 2017
The School of Music has achieved outstanding results in the 2017 Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES)
93% of postgraduate research students agreed that the quality of supervision was high, and 96% of students agreed that their research skills had developed significantly -placing the School top in the Faculty in both areas, and 4th and 2nd, respectively, in the University as a whole. This was mirrored by an overall satisfaction rating of 96%, again placing the School top in the Faculty, and 2nd in The University.
Director of Postgraduate Research, Professor Michael Allis, commented: ‘This is a terrific achievement, and is a testament to the hard work of all PGR supervisors in the School, and the importance that we place upon fulfilling students’ training needs and providing a high-quality student experience at postgraduate research level’.
